Cryocondensation, or cryocristallisation, is one of the techniques for treating VOCs. It allows them to be recovered in liquid or solid form. The technology is reliable, particularly flexible and can be adapted to every problem situation.
When liquid nitrogen is used to cool the condenser, VOC emissions are reduced to very low levels by trapping the VOCs quickly at very low temperature. The refrigerant capacity required for the treatment can be adjusted to suit your needs and objectives.

This straightforward and effective principle is illustrated on the phase diagram (figure below):

• Flexibility of use: adaptable to any flow rate, to any concentration and to most solvent mixes
• Nitrogen recycling: Potential re-use of the nitrogen for other applications at output from the facility

• Echangeur principal de type tube-calandre, avec :
  - circulation de l'azote liquide et gazeux coté tubes,
  - circulation de gaz process coté calandre, au travers d'un jeu de chicanes.
  Les tubes sont équipés d'ailettes externes, afin d'augmenter la surface d'échange et l’autonomie en cas de présence d’eau.
